Lorin Willey is an international, multi-award winning artist. He was the first Wisconsin oil painter to win the Award for Excellence in the National Arts for the Parks Exhibit in Jack- son Hole Wyoming in 1991. He has exhibited his work throughout the United States, and Ireland, and is in prestigious collections in America, Ireland, England, Scotland, Belgium, France, and Australia. He is presently featured in, and represented internationally by the Lorica Artworks Gallery in Andover, MA., the DeLind Gallery in Milwaukee, WI., and the Paint Box Gallery in Door County, WI. 


In 1990 Lorin founded the Wisconsin Painters Studio, a venue for art instruction, and for over two decades he has been inspiring students and professional artists with his energetic and enthusiastic approach to teaching and lecturing on the world of art. His classes focus heavily on the individual artist’s development of creative and technical skills. He coined his approach the “3-Cs”; based in Creativity, Craftsmanship, and Clarity of Intent. 


Lorin has judged numerous regional art competitions, including several Wisconsin Regional Arts Program Exhibits and Plein Air events, and has lectured at many of Wisconsin’s Art Institutions including the Wisconsin Visual Artists, the Wisconsin Pastel Society, the Waukesha County Arts League, the West Allis Artists Alliance, the Kettle Moraine Pastel Artists, the Cedarburg Artists Guild, and the Door County Artists Association.
